Hi, I'm Kim, the founder of Keep Striding Hoof Care.

I've been horse mad for as long as I can remember. Riding from the age of seven, horses have been a huge part of my life and they've been my greatest teachers. Every horse has something different to show us and I don't think that learning ever stops.

I've always had an interest in the barefoot approach and my current mare, Midnight, has played a big part in shaping the path that led me here. I bought her as a two-year-old in 2020 and she ignited a passion for barefoot hoof care that has continued to grow ever since. Through our time together, I came to appreciate just how important good hoof care is - not just for the feet themselves, but for the horse as a whole.

That passion led me to study equine podiatry with Areion Academy, where I spent two and a half years developing the knowledge and practical skills needed to support horses through thoughtful, individual, evidence-informed hoof care. The training challenged me to look beyond the hoof and understand how movement, management, nutrition and the horse's overall health all influence the feet.

As part of my training I also gained a certificate in Essential Equine Nutrition and alongside my studies have worked at EquiNatural since 2024. Supporting horse owners with advice on herbal supplements, the role has given me the opportunity to speak with owners from all walks of life, helping them to support their horses' health. As Keep Striding Hoof Care grows, I've taken the exciting step of moving part-time at EquiNatural so I can focus on building my business.

For me, equine podiatry has never simply been about making horses' feet shorter.

It's about building relationships - with both horses and their owners. It's about getting to know each horse as an individual, noticing the subtle changes that can make a big difference and becoming part of the team that helps keep them healthy, comfortable and feeling their best.

Whether your horse is a happy hacker, a competition horse, retired, or simply your best friend, my aim is always the same: to provide calm, sympathetic hoof care tailored to the individual horse. I believe every horse deserves to be listened to, worked with patiently and given the opportunity to move comfortably and confidently.

The name Keep Striding reflects my own approach. I'm committed to continually learning, developing my knowledge and providing the best care I can. Horses have a wonderful way of reminding us that there's always more to learn and I wouldn't have it any other way.

I'd love the opportunity to become part of your horse's care team and help keep them striding comfortably.
